The Hull Freedom Trail
A film about an anti-slavery campaign of 24 people from Hull in the UK. They drove five 4x
4 vehicles to Sierra Leone where they donated the trucks to humanitarian organizations that focus on anti trafficking. HFT was inspired by William Wilberforce, who initiated the abolition of slavery 200 years ago. Unfortunately slavery is still very wide spread in the 21st century. HF
T is one of the films I’m most proud about because I produce this documentary completely on my own.

Karzan Sherabayani is a Kurdish exile living in Britain, an activist and an actor. Twenty-five years ago, when he was 19, Sherabayani escaped from Iraq, where he had been imprisoned and tortured by Saddam Hussein’s secret police. In January 2005, he returned to his hometown, Kirkuk, to vote in the first national elections since the overthrow of Saddam’s regime. I went with him to film the story for the BBC. A 90 minute version of this emotional journey is now available on DVD.
